One of the oldest of known Amoreau ancestors. He gave his name to our historical vintage, the reflection of all our plots.

Barthélemy

1844-1925

Barthélemy is one of the most illustrious winemakers in the family. He bequeathed his notebooks to us, in which he questioned the use of sulphur in the vinification process.

Retour des Îles

This is the only vintage which is not named after one of our ancestors. Yet we are all aware of our patriarch Jean Pierre’s love of sailing.

Blaise-Albert

1758-1831

Blaise-Albert was the mayor of Saint-Cibard, the village next to our home, and he gave his name to the ultimate le Puy experience.

Deep ruby colour with purple tints.
The nose reveals undergrowth and mushrooms.
A fleshy, silky palate on liquorice with notes of black cherry and crisp blackberries.
A long finish opening into redcurrant.
